Profile:
RnB production partner of singer/producer Babyface, after success with numerous acts including Bobby Brown the two set up LaFace Records. After many years putting out hits under the Arista umbrella, LaFace was merged into Arista and "LA" chosen as the replacement for Arista boss Clive Davis. He only lasted a couple of years at the helm of Arista before moving to the Def Jam/Island Music Group in 2004.
