| Profile: | Lapsed is the solo effort of Jason Stevens. Stevens has been creating music since he first purchased his Ensoniq EPS sampler in 1998; however his focus shifted to Lapsed in early 2003. “I was pretty jaded with where I felt my music was going and gave up for several months. An experience around New Years Eve changed my perspective and opened a well of creativity for me and "Lapsed" was born.”
Lapsed can be described as, “a glitchy, funktastic, atmospheric, schizoid-beat droppin' voyage into the mind of a slightly melancholy, but mostly well balanced, young man.” Considering he has worked in music stores for over 5 years, it’s not surprising to learn that his influences range drastically from Alt. Country to Industrial, and from Hip-Hop to Rock.
