First off, for those of you who don't know who Laura Palmer is, be sure to check out the early 90's (but still essential) cult series Twin Peaks. In addition to being the main character of the above mentioned show, she's also the inspirational basis of a somewhat newcoming mysterious Hungarian artist in the minimal electronic/dubtech music scene, who delivered the critically acclaimed Background EP on the famous Thinner netlabel. Laura's tracks are a great example of getting a unique sound by a conscious combination and use of dubby atmospheres, layered keys & chords with techno samples, and minimalistic beat structuring.
