His father was a radio broadcaster and he was always listening to new things, one day he appeared in house with a tape cassette called "Classics rock" but the tracks in that cassette had nothing to do with rock. They were classic songs with an electronic beat in the background! That was his first contact with electronic music. He was 8 years old!
The interest of Leonardo Breanza for Electronic Music arose in 1994, when he decided to do a DJ course. There he learned the basic mixing techniques. After that he joined with his friends Marcos Murphy (nowadays known as DJ Murphy Definition Records/Germany) Orlando MadOrl, Funk Jay, Lesh and Adriano P.S. and started to organize small private parties in Osasco (suburbs of Sao Paulo). At that time Garage predominated, that came to be his strongest influence.
With perfect mixing and intense performances, Leo Breanza called the attention of party promoters and received the first invitations to play at clubs. Leo Breanza became the resident DJ of Club MIX in Osasco and built up his style to tech-house and techno. Time passed and Leo continued strong as the resident at Club MIX where he played along with DJs Lesh, Adriano P.S, Bad Bad, Marky (V Recordings/U.K.) and Murphy (Definition Records/Germany).
In August 2000, he participated in the 1o TOP DJ OF THE YEAR organized by Hypnotic, where he was ranked ..7 among 32 finalists. This resulted with his inclusion to the line-up of DJs of Sao Paulos Techno Parade "PEACE PARADE 2000". Since then he has played at clubs like U-TURN, Phoenix, Manufacture 5, DJ Club Bar, Cosmic Zoo, Trainsrave, E-Music CPS, Psychedelic Tribe, Club, Rave Subconnection, Hortencia, Psytech, Rave Electric Park, and many others.
Leo Breanza had always been very curious of how the tracks were made, and just like his father, he became a radio broadcaster. When he had already acquired certain knowledge of production he decided to take the risk and try to make something similar to his favorite techno tracks. After a few months, Leo found himself making high quality music, creative and original, always mixing elements of typical Brazilian tunes (e.g. samba) with pounding techno beats. He has been performing regularly at some of the clubs mentioned above and also working as a sound technician at Radio MIX FM 106,3 - Sao Paulo.
