The Librarian, the moniker of Ohio-based Matthew Cooper, brings new life to a club scene that has become status quo with unabashed charisma and showmanship. His heart lies in the sounds of techno with strong gothic undertones and minimal composition. Constantly on the cusp of the avant-garde, he delights in giving listeners a sound that they generally have never heard. As a DJ he has performed with artists such as Ark, Outputmessage, Derek Plaslaiko, Kate Simko, JPLS, Skoozbot, Kyle Geiger, and Ryan Elliott of international fame. Although he has primarily been a DJ for the last six years, production is his new direction and love. The Librarian brought us his first single entitled The Hornet’s Nest in 2007.
