Reviews & Discussion

While driving home one evening last week listing to Metropolis on kcrw, I was about to press the jazz preset on on my radio when out of the static melage came the most perfect siren I've ever heard. I was so posessed by the pureness of this voice, I had to find out who it was. I spent the next 2 weeks obsesivly badgering everyone I knew searching for the owner of this haunting diva-to-be voice...and finaly scored. I am so excited and glad to learn that this was relativly the beginning of much more to come from her. I've told friends she sounds so good that I feel kinda guilty when I hear her......but I'll get over it.

It's easy to call me biase, but among many talented female vocalists in the soulful/deep house world Lisa Shaw stands firmly within the top five. Over the years she has stood firm as one of Naked Music's favourite vocalists and her vocals are a must in any worthwile Naked Music compliation. Her two albums so far are testament to her ability to transend into jazzy vocals and also proved beyond doubt that she is a talented singer on her own.And her recent work on 'Migs' lastest release this year are evidence that she still is going strong. I cannot wait for Lisa Shaw to come up with a new album, he two classic albums leave me yearning for more.

Lisa Shaw is the voice you need when you want that certain seduction in the vocals. One that grabs you, holds, has it's way with you and leaves you with a smile, a sigh and a need for more. Cherry is like a longtime companion, someone you turn to, you need and you want. Her vocals on Warrior are a legend, on Always are definitive and on Let It Ride are classic. For 2008 our appetites are wetted with Find A Way and All Night High. My anticipation for more uncontrollable.

Lisa shaw is one talented lady, with a smooth and very sexy voice. I first heard her voice when I listened to 'Cherry' for the first time. Once I herd it I was hooked and then purchased the 'Cherry' album, which is a top album. Lisa mainly features on deep house tracks and her voice works wonders with the style of music. However I am sure her voice would bring magic to any style of music.

Lisa shaw...what a lady...a fresh breath of air...hear i sit on Air Canada, flying to New York, an australian caught in the midst of a strong cold winter..."wat am I doing here"....I am sippng my favourite drink Bombay Saphirre Gin and tonic. I place the headphones and what I am about to hear has todate changed my life almost...its the smooth sexy voice of Lisa Shaw...Let it ride. WOW, offcourse, it took me a few months to track this song down. where ever she performs next, I am going to make it there. I am now discovering her other masterful touches...cheers to you girl, you are my Gin and tonic late sunday nights....PEACE !! thru out the world

The angelic, soulful voice of Lisa Shaw captivates the listener with its' depth and power, making an instant fan out of everyone who hears her (that includes Madonna). The multi-talented vocalist and songwriter has been featured on a number of certifiable Naked classics, including Love Tronic's "You Are Love" and her own "Always". Much more than just a dancefloor diva!
