LA based composer and sound designer Gabriel Morley has been getting a great deal of attention in 2003. After a fantastic addition to 'Dosage' on Merck, and then an EP on New York label Shadetek, he is to release a collaboration album on City Centre Offices with John Xela under the name 'Yasume'.

All this aside, his work for Type is in a different place altogether. A far cry from the choppy digital crunch of Yasume and the Shadetek EP.

When Gabe works for Type, his sensitive side is unleashed, and his classical compositional skills are taken firmly in hand. With a love of haunting minimal music, and also a passion for abstract experimental rock, Gabriel's charm is stark and obvious. It is hard to listen to this music without falling for its crystalline beauty.
