It can sure be said that it is thanks to LOS LOCOS that Latin American music, kind that in Italy had not never found a great reply, is become a social phenomenon how much never chatted and danced! Italian ROBY "BORILLO" BORIBELLO (guitar and bass) and PAOLO FRANCHETTO, of Venezuelan origin (keyboards), has always had in the blood Latin music and form a group that played this type of music.
With this great desire to the end of 1992 it was born therefore this lucky person duo.
After varies succeeded album that has introduced to the great public like "EL MENAITO" or "EL TIBURON", the enormous popularity that has rendered them more and more famous not only in Italy, but all over the world, an ulterior album "GREATEST HITS" imposes they that collects more celebrates happened...
Exited to the end of 1995, in fifteen days it catches up the 50.000 copies of sale GOLD DISC, and remaining in the charts for an entire year, obtains also the PLATINUM DISC.
Summer of 1996 has definitively consecrated LOS LOCOS like one of the most famous groups because with the MACARENA, the dance know by oldmen and kids, they have filled up all the discotheques and the larger public squares of Italy.
In 1997 decidedly sees them to the overturn with "TIC TIC TAC", the single one that gives to the title it to album "EL TIC TIC TAC", which as the last album it receives the PLATINUM DISC. Like from expectations, for all the summer TIC TIC TAC was danced in every public square, discotheque and beach of Italy and not only, seen the enormous one happening that the two "crazy boys" have collected also in Europe and America Latina.
The 1998 was the year of the foreign country, Russia, Japan, China and all those truths that are discovering Latin music...
In the end of 1999, finally, they exit with an other album from the title SALTA.
In The 2000 was born a new plan of collaboration with Kid Creole and the Coconuts. The result of this fusion takes the name of Cocoloco.
