The first time Sietse van Daalen opened his eyes was on the 19th of August 1974 in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. His name back than still was Sietse but that changed when he watched a movie wich according to him contained fat samples, you can guess how this movie was called, yes; "The Mouth Of Madness"!
He found that name to be very suitable because "for an MC you need to have a mouth and be a bit insain too", he quoted.
He started as a MC for the first Hip-Hop group from Leeuwarden called "2 Damn Dope". Eventually the group splitted and the members parted. This was at the beginning of the 90's when the popularity of house music grew. Sietse got familiar with Hardcore-House and after a few years of partying in 1995 he appeared for the first time at the "Seven Gates To Hell" parties in Deinum as MC for DJ Syndrome.
Sietse and Peter (DJ UZI) were friends since they were kids and after a while playing Hip-Hop Peter also decided to go and play house to. After a while they joined and this gave birth to "UZI & MC DA Mouth Of Madness". Backed up by the "The Hitsquad", containing dancers and producers they rocked every party in the region!
Their first real appearance together was in the end of 1995 in Gorredeijk at a "Thunderdome on Tour" party from ID&T. This is were they met Sander Groet, the organizer who asked them to come and play at La Xala in Rotterdam wich they did. From then on the ball was roling and soon they were booked for more parties al acros holland. The first bigger appearance was at "The Fun" in Zaandam. Altough this was a big club Sietse thought it to be big when he first MC'd on this party. Their first really big party was in their hometown at Thunderdome '96. After this their popularity got bigger and bigger and played on many big events from then.
In 1997 Sietse was asked to present a weekly hardcore program "Hakkeeh" on dutch television for the music station TMF. In the beginning of 1998 he stopped with Hakkeeh and started his own hardcore-cafe in is hometown, named "Cafe Oldschool". After two years he stopped and closed the cafe, in a time when the hardcore hype came to it's end.
After a few years of (hardcore)silence he was asked by MC Ruffian to get back in the scene and nowadays he appears on many big raves all across Europe.
