Madame Patate

Madame Patate is a french composer. She makes music with toys, cheap instruments & computer, the result is a mix of nice melodies, funny rhythms, samples of personal sound archives that she cuts really short like “clicks”, sometimes singing on it...She’s performing using toys played real time, defending the idea of “homemade” music that do not have to obligatorily depend on the latest technologies but much more on the experience of constructing & put together your own sounds objects. Madame Patate is also performing as a Dj player, mixing from abstract to dancing braindance, IDM to drill’n bass, electro to weird rock’n roll… & more. Anything she likes, she’s playing it. She is composing acousmatic music for dance & theater, and work on Sound Garden’s projects with his friend Thomas Blangille under the name of “LaMadame et LeMonsieur”. She’s member of Soundlab Crew from Bordeaux but lives in Brussels since 2005.
