Martin Price was the owner of Manchester's influential Eastern Bloc record shop and Creed Records. He left 808 State at the peak of their success in late '91, not wanting to undertake an extensive Stateside tour. Soon after he formed the short-lived Switzerland and later managed Rochdale rappers Kaliphz.

Martin Price is a musical genius, a mad proffessor of the stay up all night brigade, I had the pleasure of doing some studio work with this fellow about 5 years back, following a short term of working togethor at my house on several tracks, one to mention of all was a breakbeat piece with a top cut up sample from the box of mr price, and boy it is a box, a box of obscure, unknown, unheard lifestyle. The sample referred to 'Wom YU' and 'the bells of death' I Know.
Martin IMO is a madman of music , so intense relentless when chasing after a certain unheard sound , his audio descriptions are exactly as he wants them to sound and attention to detail is not good enough! A true genius who cares about nothing bar Music, Respect.
