| Profile: | Max Normal was a South African four-piece "audio-visual unit designed to enhance the vibrational frequency of the listener / viewer" based in Johannesburg that "fused various elements ranging from hip-hop to jazz, through to electronica into a highly spontaneous theatrical performance."
Fronted by vocalist/rapper Waddy Jones, the remaining three members included Mark Buchanan (electric bass/electric guitar), Sean Ou Tim (drums/keyboards/samples), and Simon Ringrose (turntables/backing vocals).
The band was dissolved in 2001 after Mr. Jones felt it became "too successful" and formed the Constructus Corporation thereafter; and he then resurrected the name of the band as a guise for himself leading the unit MaxNormal.tv.
