Reviews & Discussion

Review by Crijevo Mar 15, 2007 (edited over 2 years ago)
I wonder what would have become of these two cuties if only they survived both as a duo and Mel's horiffic desease. Basically most of the 1988's sensations are either forgotten or trying hard these days to look younger and hotter for a desperate slice of pop-success... But back in those pop-times of brainwashing Stock-Aitken-Waterman production domination, Mel & Kim's two similar hits, 'Respectable' and 'Showing Out' did stand out with a difference for they were at least not as nutrasweet as Kylie or Tiffany or (dear God) - Debbie Gibson. Mel & Kim had style and grace, the only problem is they were just too much one-hit wonders. 'Respectable' however still sounds better than most of the pop-crap you wish to hear onwards. A charming House music attempt. Dance and remember.
