Michael Cassette is quickly becoming my favourite Progressive House act, thanks to a string of magnificent productions on the Anjunadeep label that have captured my attention, and are starting to crop up ever more regularly in my daily playlists. Being a bit of an 80's fan myself, it's very interesting to see how they combine influences from the decade into their melodic breakdowns, while balancing it out with beats & basslines packed with modern funk in between (which I am also a fan of!).
In addition to their original productions, I can now add a very strong remix résumé to my reasoning, including impressive reworks of Musetta's "Red Star", Super8 & Tab's classic "Helsinki Scorchin'", and, the cream of the crop, an absolutely beautiful uplifting take on OceanLab's new single "Miracle".

Definitely a group to watch out for, especially if you like your Progressive House equal parts melodic and funky.
