Now this man truley was the King of Pop.

From his beginnings in the Jackson Five, to his fantastic solo career from Off the Wall all the way up to Invincible, we will surely miss one of the greatest performers to ever hit the planet.

From songs such as I Want You Back all the way to You Rock My World, from the videos such as Thriller and Smooth Criminal, we have lost someone, who refined popular music into what it is today.

RIP MJ - 1958-2009.

"Bad" was the first record I ever bought. Michael Jackson was a musical genius of our time, and I never get tired of listening to his records.

I'm glad to see my 7-year old godson getting into his music lately, and even the toughest wannabe-gangster-teens at the school where I recently was teaching knew "Billie Jean" and admired his unique dancing style. Michael Jackson will keep fascinating people for decades to come.

May he rest in peace.

Rest in Peace Michael Jackson. He is, and always will be, the King of Pop. His music will stand the test of time and will be studied and reverred by future generations.

From Off The Wall to Thriller to Bad to Dangerous, his musical legacy will be difficult to top. Let's not trivialise his death, but the so-called sloppy, drugged-out tabloid fodder known as "pop stars" today will never, ever come close to touching the legacy of the King of Pop.

A very sad day in music history. Michael Jackson, The King Of Pop, died of only 50 years old. A couple of weeks before his many concerts in the O2 Arena in London. I grew up with Michael Jackson's songs, I got Thriller on LP and played it over and over, I went to his fantastic concert in Amsterdam in 1996 and bought all his albums etc. The worlds biggest and most famous entertainer ever is dead... Much too young!

WOW! ..what to say about michael jackson, he can dance and make music. Just seeing michael on stage was phenomenal, fantastic!!. Neally all he songs are hits, Billie Jean to this day is still one of the greatest songs ever created. But even though michael has gone kinda downhill, he is still an idol to everyone for his talent on the stage and in the studio. Respect.

Despite everything that's been said & caricatured regarding Michael Jackson, let's not forget that the guy was supremely talented and made some fantastic music. 'Off The Wall' & 'Thriller' are 2 classic albums that will always be remembered. A number of his tunes still rock floors today and have stood the test of time, I defy anybody not to dance to 'Billie Jean' (what a tune), 'Off The Wall' & 'Don't Stop Till u Get Enough' are 2 other certain floor fillers. The man deserves some respect and also some help!
