'All Funked Up' from was originally released as a white label under the aegis of Birmingham DJ Lee Fisher's record shop 'Pure Records'.It was one of the very few new club records that nosed their way into the charts during the early 90's. Fisher was a regular at Birminghams late 80's, early 90's clubs, 'Decadance' and 'A Better Way'. I believe, but I may be wrong, that he then formed the more substantial 'Bosting Records'. Check out the 1994 Bosting release, Charmaine Dennis'-Let the Music Play which bears the distinctive, strident horn stabs of 'All Funked Up'as well as a belting vocal. The shop withered away by the mid 90's but will always be fondly remembered by many of us as the only place to pick up those explosive and exciting 'progressive' tunes of the early 90's.
