Motorbass

Motorbass are a great group -- deeply soulful, with gated sounds and unusual instrumentation like Harpsichord... Flying Fingers and esp. Les Ondes are supercool.

Madrid, 1999. A French friend came to visit me. He played me 'Pansoul'. It changed my life. As a musician, I was experimenting with synths and samplers ..... it changed my 'vision' ..... it was the first time I *truly* felt I could use the two words 'electronic' and 'music' together.
So pleased I found it.

Philippe Zdar & Etienne de Crecy are the best representatives of the French House sound. Both are pioneers. I like the album Pansoul very much, because the beat is going up and crazy slooowwwly.... They're not that famous in France... Zdar, Crecy, Boombass (Sinclair's Brother) are only know by people who really listen to fair techno music.
