Mud

Profile:
Successfull UK Pop/Glam band. Mud was founded by singer Les Gray and Drummer Dave Mount. They formed a band with Bass player Ray Stiles and Guitarist Rob Davis. Being discovered by Producer Mickie Most during a gig, they were hooked up with the writer/producer tandem of that time: Chinn And Chapman. Hits followed very fast and until 1980 they were a multiselling band. In 1980, after declining success and a replacement for Les Gray, the band decides to quit. Les Gray died of a heart attack in 2004. Rob Davis is nowadays a wellknown producer/writer. He wrote a.o. "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" for Kylie Minogue.
