N-Joi

Profile:
N-Joi formed in 1990 when Nigel Champion and Mark Franklin (2) AKA Marc Kulak were 20 years old. They were later joined by Samantha Sprackling AKA Saffron. Initially playing illegal underground warehouse parties, they subsequently had quite some chart success. Adding Saffron's vocal performance to the "underground" sound brought N-Joi to a wider audience and they became one of the more successful dance acts of the early 1990's. They took their live performances around the world, touring the USA, UK, Europe, Asia and Australia. They did remixing work for artists such as Annie Lennox and toured the UK supporting Prodigy, The.
After finishing the 1995 US tour, the members of N-Joi decided to go their separate ways (Sprackling became lead singer of Republica, Champion and Kulak continued writing, producing and remixing.
Due to demand for live gigs, Nigel and Marc got back together again and, since the beginning of 2002, have been performing around the UK.

There will be a brand new version of their Hit Record "Anthem" to be released on Deconstruction records (Sony) Summer 2011, which will initiate a new phase for the band.

N-Joi what an amazing pioneering band easily up there with the Prodigy , Shades of Rhythm , Chemical brothers and the like. Lot's of stand out tracks from these guys as well that are still being played to this day. Anthem probably being the main one for the oldskool hands in the Air Piano line. Even their house, darker techno and acid stuff is pure class and has some awesome 303 action, tracks like Papillon and Drumstick EP really take you on an epic journey. Shame there isn't more music made like this anymore. Join us on our other page if your into this sort of music and era @ http://facebook.com/weloveoldskool
