Neil Sedaka

Profile:
Songwriter and vocalist
Born : March 13, 1939 // Brooklyn, NY, United States
daughter, Dara Sedaka

Neil Sedaka, in a recent 2010 interview stated that it was the arrival of the British Invasion, most notably The Beatles, who halted his singing career, in the early 60's.

Collaborating with songwriting partners, Howard Greenfield and Phil Cody, he penned numerous hits written for Connie Francis, The Carpenters, Captain & Tennille among others.

He credits Elton John for reviving his singing career in the mid-70's. John signed him to his new Rocket Record Co. label and sang on "Bad Blood". That first LP couldn't have had a more appropriate title, simply "Sedaka's Back".
