The story went in this way:
back in 1990 the project created by Marco Biondi, Graziano Pegoraro and Claudio Tarantola was called Neverland, and the song named Mato Grosso. The release became soon a massive hit, well-known, and everybody (djs, radio stations) started to call it only Mato Grosso. So, when they decided to produce a new track, change the project to Mato Grosso, instead of Neverland. In fact this tune can be found on the LP by Mato Grosso, 2016, released in 1993.
