Nicola Kuperus is a fashion photographer based in Detroit Her work is often monochromatic, with her models cropped in stiff and awkward positions. A cold and sterile mood permeates the pictures with a minimum of nature and comfort. Working and living in Detroit, has not only had an impact on her stylistic approach, but also on her subject matter. From the start, she focused exclusively on fashion photography, but as more and more people in Detroit saw her unique images; many people in the music industry began approaching Nicola to capture them in the same unique manner. Her clients include Planet E Communications, Interdimensional Transmissions, Sabotage Communications and of course Ersatz Audio. She has been published in The Wire, BPM Culture, D'Vox, and Grooves Yet, her relationship to the music industry is not entirely limited to photography. She is also 1/2 of the band ADULT. (with Adam Equation of Le Car) on Ersatz Audio, as well as co-owner and operator of EA with Adam Lee Miller.

Kuperus has also lent her unique vocal stylings to bands such as Chicks on Speed, Swayzak and a recent collaboration with Death in Vegas that reached #19 on the British Singles Charts. Miller recently finished up lending his production skills to Magas on his new album "Friends Forever" on Ersatz Audio.
