Noblesse Oblige were formed in London by musicians Sebastian Philipp and Valerie Renay. Thanks to their clever combination of twisted lyrics and melodic electro-punk-pop hooks, the duo quickly became popular on London's underground club scene, leading to stunning UK support slots for fellow art-punk bands including The Dresden Dolls, Motormark, Siobhan Fahey and Selfish Cunt. Noblesse Oblige are no strangers to controversy either, an early review of the band's live performance was hailed as "Offensive Nonsense" thanks to songs such as 'Daddy (Don't Touch Me There)' and 'Fashion Fascism'. The duo's self-produced debut single and album are scheduled for release on Horseglue (part of the Mute Records label) in 2006. The band successfully launched their own club night, Caligula, in London during 2004 which became a regular haunt for numerous A-list stars from film and music. The band have also emerged as critically acclaimed remixers thanks to their remixes of Temposhark, M.I.A. and Mark Moore (S'Express).
