Has previously lived in Delhi, India, where she was trained in and performed Indian Classical music, as well as recording backing vocals, jingles etc. She is now based in the UK, married to Min, who is Dakini Records' UK label DJ. Nona Kalra has been recording vocals for Gio (Makyo) for many years.
