The name Nosferatu is a project name which Patrick van Kerckhoven came up with for an early release on Ruffneck Records together with Fred Henderson. The alias was later used as a project name by Van Kerckhoven and Erwin van Kan. The latter is now the solo user of the moniker. Because Van Kan has produced the bulk of the Nosferatu material this Discogs entry will be about him.

Erwin van Kan was born in The Hague on the 16th of September 1973. In the early 90's he began experimenting with music using a tape-recorder and a makeshift turntable. After buying more professional music production equipment and playing out more he was able to release All That She Wants on Bunkör Beats.
When he later handed Ruffneck a demo his career slowly rocketed and he's now one of the most popular and successful DJ/producers in the Netherlands.
