Real Name:Kevin Ogilvie (Nivek Ogre) and Mark Walk
Profile:ohGr is a band formed by Nivek Ogre, of Skinny Puppy, and musician/engineer Mark Walk. Although the pedigree of the group's members might suggest otherwise, ohGr is not strictly an industrial group, as it draws heavily from elements of electro-pop, metal, and even hip hop. The sound diverges heavily from that of Ogre's earlier Skinny Puppy work, incorporating a more conventional structure as well as a lighter tone, lyrically and musically.

Personally I think ohGr is the best sideproject that Kevin Ogilvie has ever been involved in, and showcases the best work of Mark Walk as well. Why Mark is not a hugely popular producer is beyond me, this guy has talent just oozing out of him. "Welt" was probably the best electronic music album I heard in 2001 and remains a personal favorite to this day. You cant exactly call it industrial because its so much funkier and creative than youd expect for that genre, but it is of course dark, tongue in cheek, and very mechanical sounding. I am saddened there has been no musical output from this group for the last five years and truly hope they spend the time to get us some new tracks.
