Oil 10

For 5 years Oil 10 has produced pure electronica tracks in which powerful, elegant analogical sounds mixup.
Gilles Rossire chisels his findings around a genuine musical framework and shows that research doesn't always mean icy hermetism.
His approach can be explained by the diversity of his influences : LFO, Pan sonic, FSOL, Autechre, Björk or Kraftwerk's and Tangerine Dream's first albums that can't be missed.
Film music (Forbidden Planet, Edward Artemeyev, John Carpenter, David Lynch...) and the 80s electro pop scene (OMD, Freur, Fad Gadget, Depeche Mode...) have also had a strong influence on him.
After a rather dancefloor EP released at ARS, Gilles was noticed by Future Music for his Remote project.
He then created Oil 10 and joined the French label Noise Museum on which 2 CD albums - In/Out and Blocks - were released.Then came out Metastases, a powerful EP vinyl for German label Hymen/Ant-zen.
With Links - his 3rd CD album/release - on the French/German label Vacuum, Gilles perfects his musical style by achieving creative refinement and elegance.
Now, after a few collaborations and energetic live performances, Gilles is releasing Arena, a new and very dynamic CD album on Brume Records.
The Oil 10 project moves towards a resolutely dancefloor universe.With its timeless atmosphere, catching melodies and powerful beats, Arena is the brand new opus of a definitely unclassable French artist.
