Profile:
Born in Brooklyn in 1969, and grew up in the neighborhood of Fort Green as a welfare child.

Collapsed and died on November 13, 2004 in a Manhattan recording studio, after complaints of chest pains. The official cause of death was a drug overdose (ruled accidental); an autopsy found a lethal mixture of cocaine and the prescription drug Tramadol, a synthetic opiate.
