Real Name:Alex Spalck, Enzo Regi, Massimo Michelotti, Maurizio Fasolo
Profile:Pankow are the pioneers of Italian EBM/industrial. They formed in Florence in 1982 and started experimenting with electronic machines. The head of the band was Maurizio Fasolo, other important members were Paolo Favati and singer and front man Alex Spalck. In 1984 they released their first EP, the legendary God's Deneuve on KinderGarten Records. The first LP came in 1987 on Contempo Records, and was produced by Adrian Sherwood. Pankow were the first Italian electronic band to gain wide success in Europe and the USA, they did a tour of 30 dates in the States at the beginning of the 90s'. In 1993 the band split up, Spalck went to live in Australia while the other members pursued their own projects. In 1996 Pankow was resurrected with Gianluca Becuzzi of Limbo hired as singer. The resulting CD, Pankow, was unsuccessful and the band split up again. Pankow returned once again in 2003 with Alex Spalck back as the front man and a new CD out on Minus Habens.
