Paolo Martini apparently had a taste for all things beats from an early age. He bought his first single at the age of thirteen - the classic 'Sound Of Philadelphia' by MF.S.B. A role model for all Italian DJs, Paolo began servin' up the tunes in the early eighties, but it was a chance meeting with DJ Alfredo in 1988 that really turned the tide for Paolo. Alfredo was then resident at Amnesia in Ibiza and responsible for bringing the first batch of house music over to Italy. Paolo embraced the genre and has never looked back, paving the way for other aspiring DJs willing to follow in his footsteps. In recognition of his achievements, Diesel Jeans chose him to promote their wares and Radio Italia Network invited him to start up a weekly dance programme 'Mastermix'.
