Paralysed Age started out as a three-member group, featuring Marco Neumann, Stefan Kirsch and Michael Knust, playing vampire-themed Gothic music. This line-up broke up in 1996 and Michael took over the name, playing some small gigs with Andrea in 1998 and formalising the status of the duo when they signed with Dancing Ferret Discs in 2001.
