Peter Grummich drops bombs. Ive been following his music since his Sender days and its been great watching him evolve his eclectic sound while still maintain his techno roots. His older sound was a hard, gritty, smash you in the face with a huge kick drum style German techno. Nowadays hes managed to fuse elements of techno with loungy classic old school vibes. The result is always something bizarre but mysteriously catchy. His tracks are usually long and loopy. Designed to be more hypnotic than energetic. No insane buildups or gimmicky tricks. Its all smooth riding bass-ridden grooves well fitted to small or medium sized lounge, preferably with a musically educated crowd. The average clubber has probably never heard of Peter and I imagine that Peter is perfectly ok with that. As long as he keeps crankin out the tunes Ill be buying them. Definitely a techno hero.
