Legendary blues vocalist and guitarist, Peter Green, spent years in the wilderness of the music world when excessive drug consumption ended his career with Fleetwood Mac. The start of the Splinter Group in 1996 marked the end of the so-called "long fingernail stage", where Peter grew his nails so long that he couldn't play guitar, and Peter's return to playing blues rock.
The line-up originally featured Peter with Nigel Watson, and a legendary rock rhythm section - bassist Neil Murray, and drummer Cozy Powell. Cozy Powell's death ended this line-up, but Peter has continued to record and tour with some new members before finally splitting in 2004.
