Reviews & Discussion

Review by Butane_Bob Jul 01, 2006 (edited over 5 years ago)
Indie rockers pinback are criminally underrated. Headed by vocalist Rob Crow (Team Sleep, Thingy, Heavy Vegetable, Goblin Cock, Physics, Optiganally Yours, Alpha Males etc) and Armistead Burwell Smith IV (3 Mile Pilot) their name comes from the character Sgt. Pinback from the 70s John Carpenter flick "Dark Star". Samples from this film can be heard in their earlier works.
Personal faves are the ep's Some Voices/Offcel and the 2004 LP Summer in Abbadon whos single "Fortress" was used for the soundtrack to the tv show 'the oc'.
