Pleiadians

Profile:
Pleiadians name was forged when a famous label requested them to do so as they didn't like the idea of them releasing material under another label. Pleiadians since then focused on the production of more sci-fi oriented psychedelic trance music and they are currently producing and performing around the globe under this name.

Reviews & Discussion

The Pleiadians are, only in my humble opinion, quite probably the greatest thing my ears have had the honor to hear happen to the marvellous world of electronic music!
Their first two albums, "Identified Flying Object" from 1997, and their sophmore output, "Family Of Light" from 1999, are both Goliats each in their own right. An unprecedented clash of furious energy, raging & complex melodies, intense psychedelia, constantly rabid madness and skilful sonic manipulation is to be found on both of them. Those albums aside, they also had quite a few classic tunes released on some great various artists compilations. Genre wise, the music portrayed on the debut is old school goa trance, and the album itslef is often brought up as the most striking and forward thinking example of the genre, while their subsequent full lenghth release found the italian lads pushing the envelope much further, evolving and not only adapting to the new demands of the listeners, but experimenting with completely new concepts and ideas.
Regardless of what style and kind of music are you in to, it would be a shame to miss out on this great legacy. My complete world got shook up after getting acquainted with the Pleiadians. Where to start? Check out their tracks Time Dilation, Pleiadians, Modulation or Electra for a full blown out-of-this-world experience.

Pleiadians, aka Etnica, are one of the few acts that composed music which had both the goa melodies and the intense psychedelia. Not many artists managed to combine those 2 elements so smoothly. The result is music sounds very unique yet not too different from the sound of the time.
They have 2 legendary albums and some 12" which are even better at some cases. They also knew how to make remixes - their remix to Full Mental Jackpot is one of my all time favorites.
