Pretenders, The

Born out of the British post-punk era of the late 1970's, Pretenders have evolved mainly as a four-piece outfit with various members around core vocalist and songwriter Chrissie Hynde, playing a distinctive style of reggae-tinged rock and pop.
The latest (2002) line-up as featured on the 'Loose Screw' album is:
Chrissie Hynde (Lead vocals, guitar), Adam Seymour (Lead guitar, backing vocals), Martin Chambers (Drums) & Andy Hobson (Bass).
Other notable ex-members include:
Pete Farndon (Bass), James Honeyman-Scott (Guitar), T.E. Stevens (Guitar), Robbie McIntosh (Guitar) & Malcolm Foster (Bass).

Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 (Performer).
