There was a third album but it was rejected by the bands label. The experience led to the subsequent "disbanding" of Psykosonik. Daniel Lenz went on to produce a single album under the band name Hednoize with a new vocalist. The album saw a bit of a departure for Lenz in regards to the sound and feel of Unlearn. Opting for a more industrial sound, the album was a hard hitting debut. Unfortunately, label support was non-existant, and that project never got a chance to show what it could become.

Paul Sebastien went on to work with Thomas Dolby's company Beatnik for a time, and later relocated to the Seattle area. It was in Seattle he met with Wideband Network's musically competent half, Caesar Filori. Caesar's enthusiasm and talent convinced Paul to once again step in to the vocalist/co-writer role and Basic Pleasure Model was born. The band is currently doing a grass-roots approach to building a following, and have put up a number of singles free of charge on the internet. Check em out!

I completely agree with the comment left by "onephatplanet" - while Psykosonik's self-titled album was kind of a flash-in-the-pan for classic techno of the early 90s (nevertheless, a very STRONG & bright flash), the "unlearn" album with its sophistication and smooth engineering is indeed an excellent work that deserves attention. Though I tend not to listen to some of the latter tracks of the album, the early ones such as "unlearn," "need to die" and "ride" are enough to make the album worth it completely. The high BPM energy of the first album is not to be found on "unlearn," but "unlearn" has greater staying power, and greater showcases the vocal ability of the lead singer which is dynamite!

Why oh why did these guys break up after only writing two albums? They made such beautiful music. The 'Unlearn' album will remain one of my favorite Electronic albums of all time, and let me assure I have heard my fair share of Electronic music.
