Reviews & Discussion

Review by TPN May 28, 2003
As producer Q-ic works as a duo together with Axel Stephenson. They met each other for the first time in 1999.
Both were searching for a new challenge in their musical development.
If you never heard of Axel Stephenson, maybe this will clear up your mind :
* ’Jones & Stephenson’
* releases like 'the first rebirth', remix of 'love is a notion’ ,..
* live-performances on Mayday, Love Parade, etc.
Q-ic & Stephenson were looking for something new, something you cannot describe as a specific style. After lots of
work in the studio they have created their own new sound. They recorded a full CD with a lot of different tracks from
ambient to experimental-techno-rock stuff. This resulted immediately in a release on Drought, a sublabel of
’Sativae recordings’. Who already signed artists like Christian Vogel, Neil Landstrumm, Tube Jerk, DJ Hell, etc. Qic
& Stephenson are now trying to produce new stuff, more accessible but with the same kind of structures and
sounds. You will be able to hear this result on several labels throughout the future.
A mixture of 4x4 techno, electro & very experimental tracks will be brought to your ears!!!
