Quaternion

Quaternion

Real Name:
Roman Rath
Profile:
Quaternion is based in Vienna/Austria and was founded in 1999, when Roman R. and Sebastian S. decided to join forces in producing hard electronic music. They got into this kind of music around 1996, and started to produce their own tracks using tracker based programs some time later. Soon they wanted to take it to a serious level and got more equipment.
After a period of experimenting with their gear and gaining experience producing tracks in the studio, they joined the Death Noize Clan, Austria's leading Hardcore event organisation and artist collective, and started to perform as a live-act in 2001. The following three years Quaternion played at events in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland and even Russia, including big events like the Loveparade in Vienna and Mayday in Budapest. A complete list of their on-stage appearances can be found here.

In 2003 Quaternion managed to get signed at Omar Santana's label H2oh Recordings and released their first record. One year later Paul K. and Thomas N. joined the team, however Sebastian S. decided to leave. Their second record, which was produced in cooperation with Omar Santana, saw the light of day in 2004.
