Reviews & Discussion

Review by jm3 Nov 19, 2002
yeah, but "lore" aside, you can't deny that his former handle dj bubbilicious (sp?) was a much funnier name.

Actually, as legend has it, Recloose (or "Matt Chicoine") was working in a sandwich shop somewhere in Detroit. Carl Craig came in for some lunch and Recloose slipped a demo tape in with his meal. Craig liked it, Recloose was signed, we all get nice music. The end.

Hailing from Detroit Recloose was discovered (as the story goes)in a cofee shop...or was he a pizza delivery boy...anyway, he was quickly taken under the wing on Carl Craig and has produced a couple of absolutley wonderful albums on the Planet E imprint. He also had a helping hand in the Innerzone Orchestra project, which didn't turn out quite as well as it should have...all because of major label involvement.
