Jamie Smithson aka Recktchordz has had an obsession with music and its culture since the age of 11. Growing up DJing through many different styles of music, it was only suiting that he follow in the footsteps of his brother Ben Smithson aka D-Ranged, and launch himself into the world of production. Jay quickly discovered a passion for breaks and the breakbeat sound. In just a few short years, his tunes have become world renowned in the international breakbeat community. With releases on Play Recordings, Unstable Label, Mechanoise Records, BreaksFM, Downbeat Productions, Trans:verse Records & Bombtraxx Records, Rektchordz has quickly establishing himself as one of top producers of the bassline breakbeat sound.
