Richard Grey AKA
Richard Jacquin is a DJ & Producer. At the turn of the millenium, he contributed to the world success of the "French Touch" flavoured House music.
With an early love of music, heavily influenced by his father’s record collection, Richard grew up listening to classic Jazz, Funk and Disco acts such as
George Duke,
Crusaders, The and
Chic.
He finally began to record solo in 1999 with 'I Need You' on France’s
Cyber Production. This came to the attention of
Erick Morillo who immediately picked up the highly successful 'Deep Down' for
Subliminal. With strong support from House tastemakers on both sides of the Atlantic, Richard’s profile began to soar.
His music is a pure product of club culture, resolutely festive, an explosive mixture of heat and force.
In 2000, his collaboration with
Junior Jack on "U Look Fantastic" was very fruitful. The
King Errisson sampled stormer went on to be very popular.
Richard Grey later created his own label:
G-High Records.
