Rigor Mortis is a thrash metal band that formed in 1983. Two schoolmates Harden Harrison (drums) and Casey Orr (bass) formed the band when they met Mike Scaccia (guitar).
With Bruce Corbitt on vocals they created some of the heaviest thrash metal at the time often flirting with death metal.
The band was signed by Capitol Records in 1987.
The original lineup reunited in 2005.
Recently they performed at the one day Ozzfest 2008 in Texas, playing on the Texas stage.
Mike Scaccia has also played guitar with industrial metal band Ministry
Casey Orr also played bass in the shock rock band GWAR, as the character Beefcake the Mighty.
