The Robbs were three brothers - oldest Dee Robb (guitar, vocals), Joe Robb (guitar, vocals), and youngest Bruce Robb (keyboards, vocals) - plus a cousin from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. They were discovered by DickClark who installed them as regulars on American Bandstand and helped them get a contract with Mercury Records. The band only recorded one album under the Robbs name. They later made bigger names for themselves as producers and engineers for Rod Stewart, John Cougar Mellencamp, Stereolab, Alice Cooper or Steely Dan to name only a few.
