Reviews & Discussion

Review by braveheart666 Dec 02, 2006 (edited over 5 years ago)
What!!! Nobody’s commented on the only DnB super group? One of the only (if not the only) outfits for the thinking junglist that made mainstream success without being 'sensational' or purposefully populist, I am still amazed by how quality the early releases were: New Forms
and Watching Windows (particularly the DJ die remixes) are just the real shizzle. I listened to New Forms so many times its stupid, as did everyone else around that time, but it was, to me, complete in a way little DnB is. The balance of the elements of this album is perfect. Despite being so overplayed, brown paper bag is still extremely special. Pity the more recent releases never reached those lofty heights again. The newer, harsher, gurn-esque DnB can never match the musicality of the new forms era. Ambassadors to Bristol. Big up.
