Rotting Christ

Rotting Christ was formed in 1987 in Athens, Greece by the brothers Sakis Tolis (vocals, guitar) and Themis Tolis (drums). They were later joined by Kostas (guitar) and Andreas (bass). The band released the EP "Passage to Arcturo" in 1991 and they gained worldwide fame. The band then recruited George (keyboard).

They were later signed to French Osmose Records and released their first full-length, "Thy Mighty Contract" in 1993 which was followed by "Non Serviam" two years later. The two cd's showed off their Venom and Celtic Frost influence and established themselves as one of the leading Black Metal bands in Europe.

The band released "Triarchy of the Lost Lovers" in 1996 and was signed to Century Media Records. With a wider distribution they released "A Dead Poem" in 1997, and "Sleep of the Angels" two years later and "Khronos" in 2000.

The band released "Genesis" in 2002 and the live DVD "Live in Viena" in 2003.
