Rubisa Patrol was a group organized by jazz pianist and composer
Art Lande. The original members included
Mark Isham on horns,
Bill Douglass on bass, and
Glenn Cronkhite on drums. This lineup released Rubisa Patrol (1976) under the four artists' names.
After the first album Cronkhite was replaced by
Kurt Wortman. They recorded and released two further albums supporting Lande, Desert Marauders (1977) and The Story of Ba-Ku (1978) before breaking up. Art Lande and Rubisa Patrol did reunite and perform in 2004.
