Czech guitarist and composer. Born August 27, 1933 in Prague (former Czechoslovakia). State Conservatory Prague, 1966. Professional jazz musician since 1961, performed with the Metronom (2) group between 1961-1965. Since 1963 he has worked at the Jiří Wolker Theatre in Prague. He often collaborated with Karel Velebný, as well as lead his own trio. Founding member of Cellula band (later Jazz Celula) in 1967. In the 1970s he cooperated with various orchestras and bands, while working on his own compositions. Since the seventies lots of duets: with V. Klinger, Karel Růžička, Jiří Stivín, Toto Blanke and others. Since the second half of the seventies he has been performing own solo recitals. Series of performances and engagements abroad.
