He is best known for his works of fiction Marc Baugh, Kim, many short stories (including The Man Who Would Be King) and his poems, including Mandalay, Gunga Din and If—. His childrens' books are enduring classics of child literature. He was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1907.
