SHOKK

Real Name:
Claudio Pettannice & Nicolas Perrottey
Profile:
S.H.O.K.K. (Marco Guardia & Claudio Pettannice) discovered their passion for electronic music during their school days. They worked together for 5 years and were well known because of their unique hardtrance style. As their taste of music begun to change, in 2003 they decided to split and go their own ways

After hitting the clubs with tunes like „Isn’t it all a little strange“ wich was signed to legendary Frankfurt Label „Pulse“ (Overdose Sub), or the remixes for Dave Joy’s „First Impression“ and Cosmic Gate’s „Back to Earth“ S.H.O.K.K. started to get international with several gigs in Australia, The Netherlands, South Africa and the UK for Names like Godskitchen, Dancevalley, Passion or OXA to name just a few.

In 2004 a collaboration between Marcel Woods and S.H.O.K.K. was released on ID&T under the name „Woodshokk - Tulips & Chocolate“ wich was supported again by some of the verry big names in the trance scene. This tune was the last release so far before Phil Green (Ivan L.) and S.H.O.K.K. in 2007 with an Electro remake of "New Year's Day" by U2.

After nearly 4 years and many many emails and messages from the hardtrance community S.H.O.K.K. returns to the scene in 2008. Teaming up with super talented French producer "DJ Space Raven" the shokk project goes back to where it comes from -> quality Trance-Hardtrance. Get Shokked - again!

I was lucky enough to see S.H.O.K.K. in their 'Flutlicht' guise live at Godskitchen in Feb 2002 - simply amazing! I will probably never forget that night: they played all of their monster hits including Marc Dawn's "Expander" and Dave Joy's "First Impression". Their style is totally unique, and I'm gutted they've stopped producing. Guys, if you're reading this, PLEASE MAKE US SOME MORE TUNES!! :)

Ah, the legacy of SHOKK & Flutlicht.

While SHOKK's original stuff leans more into the realms of Hardstyle, i'd have to say that the remixes that these guys produce are quite possibly some of the hardest hard trance tracks I've ever heard. Classic stuff like their Remix of DJ Spoke's "Ignition" and of course Orion Too's "Hope & Wait" really showcase how they can transform a tune into a floor-killing monster. Their more melodic style comes out in their releases as Flutlicht though... It's a damn shame that these guys aren't producing together anymore; any hard trance DJ would probably give his right arm for a fresh EP. I know i would.

Never seen them live though... thats a damn shame too.
